The Test & Learn module lets you record the date of an SEO optimization and measure its real impact on organic traffic 28 days later.

Principle

In SEO, it's hard to know whether a change had a positive or negative impact on traffic. Crawlibri's Test & Learn answers this question by comparing GSC metrics before and after an action, over 28-day windows (neutralizing weekly seasonality).

How to create a tracked action

  1. Go to "Test & Learn" in your site's navigation
  2. Click "New action"
  3. Describe the optimization (e.g., "Rewrote title and H1 on /my-page")
  4. Enter the date you made the change
  5. Save

Automatically measured KPIs

Crawlibri automatically compares via GSC:

  • Clicks: before vs. after
  • Impressions: before vs. after
  • Average position: before vs. after
  • Distinct queries: number of different keywords the page appears for

Best practices

  • Only change one element at a time per test (title OR H1 OR content, not all at once)
  • Wait a minimum of 28 days before drawing conclusions
  • Document actions that didn't work to avoid repeating them
