The 6-level model

The SEO funnel allows quick diagnosis of why a page is not generating organic traffic:

Level Question Blocker if failing
1. URLs found Does the crawler reach them via links? Insufficient internal linking
2. Allowed to crawl Blocked by robots.txt? Overly restrictive robots.txt
3. HTTP 200 Accessible (no error)? 4xx, 5xx errors, redirects
4. HTML format HTML pages (not PDF, ZIP…)? Normal if intentional
5. Indexable No noindex, correct canonical? Misplaced noindex directives
6. Active Generating organic traffic? Content, keywords, competition

How to use it

For each underperforming page, work up the funnel from the bottom:

  • No traffic? → Check levels 5 and 6
  • Not indexed? → Check levels 2 to 4
  • Not crawled? → Check levels 1 and 2

In Crawlibri

The main dashboard displays the indexability funnel: pages crawled → 200 pages → indexable pages → pages in error. This is your starting point for every audit.
